For the ninth consecutive season, Il Gufo’s Spring/Summer 2019 campaign stars the French photographer Serge Guerand.
For their latest mission, the small team of sea explorers has boarded their ship and set sail through the bluest of waters on a journey filled with adventure.
The sophisticated atmospheres created by contrasts and back-lighting – clearly inspired by the 1930s – serve as a backdrop to shots starring elegant garments, while a lively, playful style highlights the collection’s brighter shades, characteristic of a casual-chic look.
The decision to use only natural light has allowed the photographer to produce some highly evocative images, enhancing his subjects and taking the audience on a journey to far-off lands.
With constant references to the marine world in both the collection and the setting of the SS19 campaign, Il Gufo draws inspiration from the moral message of the renowned explorer and naval officer Jacques-Yves Cousteau: “Knowing your planet is a step towards protecting it.”

W swojej najnowszej misji zespół morskich odkrywców wsiada na statek i płynie przez krystalicznie czyte niebieskie wody w poszukiwaniu przygód.
Wyrafinowana atmosfera tej podróży wytworzona przez kontrasty i grę światłem – wyraźnie zainspirowana latami 30. – służy jako tło dla ujęć z eleganckimi stylizacjami, podczas gdy kolekcja casual zaprezentowana jest w żywym, zabawnym stylu.
Wybór wyłącznie naturalnego światła pozwolił fotografowi na wykonanie bardzo sugestywnych obrazów, z którymi zabiera odbiorców w magiczną podróż.
Ciągłe odniesienia do świata morskiego – zarówno w kolekcji, jak i prezentowanej kampanii zostały zainspirowane moralnym przesłaniem znanego odkrywcy i oficera marynarki Jacques-Yves Cousteau: „Poznawanie naszej planety to krok w kierunku jej ochrony.”
