Insolence and poetry
“Every line means something”, JEAN MICHEL BASQUIAT liked to say. Red, turquoise, indigo and navy… The creative energy of the artist inspires an optimistic back to school wardrobe that’s easy to wear, mixing fabrics and colours, insolence and poetry: a little suit in prince of wales check is worn over a sweatshirt or jacquard sweater while houndstooth swathes a woollen coat. The beautifully warm colours of American painter ELIZABETH PEYTON make their way onto wool etamines, cashmeres and cottons. Crushed strawberry, hazelnut, golden yellow… Accessorised with Stan Smiths or metallic boots, the line for girls, and boys, assumes every autumnal nuance, like brushstrokes on the softest materials, contrasting here and there with sequins, baby cashmere and stripy berlingot sweaters, animal prints and checked overcoats…
Majesty of nature
The sweetness of childhood is revealed with the EQUESTRIAN OUTING theme which celebrates a dreamy and aesthetic world. In mid-winter every nuance of black discovers hues of rose petals and creamy whites, shades of heather and lichen. Velvet down jackets accompany ruffled shirts, slim-cut jeans are worn with riding boots. Elsewhere it’s a fantasy of romantic dresses, fluffy cashmeres and delicate lace, beneath beautiful coats with rex rabbit collars or pieces in snowflake jacquard. Then it’s the highlands of ARGENTINA that inspire warm designs coloured with glacier blue and vibrant pink. Tartan motifs, fringed alpaca and embroidered wool alpaca mix with more technical pieces in nylon or woollen trousers, soft and comfortable, as easy to slip on as a pair of sweatpants.
Couture: Velvet Rock
Cotton satins, lace tulles, gold silk taffetas, red and black velvet… Metamorphosed by the House of Bonpoint ateliers, sublimated by the most beautiful fabrics, the couture collection adopts the rhythm of a resolutely rock elegance, both joyful and chic: one that we find in a hazelnut faux fur cape, a velvet tunic with shirttails and lace collar and for the boys, a tuxedo with black satin lapels.
